Project Description:

The CLA and it’s partners continue to work on projects that generate data – lots of data. We recognize that in order to make this data truly useful, it needs to become available not just to us, but to a wider scientific and, indeed, public community.  In 2024-25, we began discussions on potential ways to consolidate all of our current as historical data into a single location (or cloud) as well as to provide a way or ways to both manage and view this data.  Recognizing that the CLA would only be one of multiple parties involved in such a project, there will undoubtedly be multiple factors to consider in how to keep moving this forward, but this ultimately should benefit the CLA members, we see the CLA as the best organization to drive this discussion.

Immediate Needs:

  • If you have any experience in managing multiple data sources or evaluating alternative approaches to handing data from multiple database and sources and/or in building or evaluating different ways of creating dashboard and visual front-ends to viewing and presenting data to multiple audiences (say science/academia as well as general public), this might be fun (albeit not easy!) to get involved in.
