Project Description:
There are efforts led primarily by Finger Lakes Institute and PRISM in cooperation with NYSDEC to help identify and remove invasive plants that have been introduced to our environments that are harmful to the health of our watersheds and replace them with plants that are native and more supportive of the natural environment. This is a relatively new focus for the CLA, but we are looking for people to help advise and otherwise steer members of our watershed community to resources that will help them achieve their landscaping goals and challenges while preserving the natural balance of flora and fauna in our watershed.
Immediate Needs:
- We are looking for people to act as navigators and advisors to the community. This will involve increasing public awareness to the available information. There are ample resources and lots of information available to support you. As this is a new effort for the CLA, any expertise that you may bring to the table may influence how this rolls out to the community.
